Bronco Boys Take on Leyton in State Tournament
After a 13-10 record and a district championship, the Wauneta-Palisade boys basketball team qualified themselves for the state tournament in Lincoln. They faced the #1 seeded Leyton Warriors at Lincoln North Star, but came up just short in the contest. Hats off to a great 2012-2013 season! Girls Basketball Team Qualifies for State
The Broncos at Lincoln East, taking on the Lindsay Holy Family Bulldogs.
The Wauneta-Palisade girls basketball team won the D2-5 District Tournament and earned the opportunity to play at the state championships in Lincoln. Although the Broncos fell in the first round to the Lindsay Holy Family Bulldogs, all Bronco fans are proud of the 18-7 season the girls accomplished. Way to go Broncos! A 26-16 victory over the Warriors from Sioux County makes the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos the 2012 6-Man Football State Champions. The game was played on the turf of UNK's field in Kearney, Nebraska on November 9. The photo above links to images from the night of the championship game, and the pep rally that preceded the game that night.
10-0 and Kearney Bound!
With a 51-16 win over Elkhorn Valley on November 2, the Wauneta-Palisade High School football team cemented their spot in the Nebraska 6-Man Football State Championship Game. Go Broncos!
Lady Broncs Finish 14-11
The Wauneta-Palisade Lady Broncos ended their 2012 season with a tight, five set match against the Wallace Wildcats on October 30 at McCook High School.
The Broncos fought hard throughout the match. The girls in red won sets 2 and 3, and came close in the 5th fighting until the final score hit 19-17.

Spirit & victories at W-P Homecoming
Wauneta-Palisade celebrate Homecoming September 24-28. The week was filled with fun dress up days, (Mythology, Twins, Decades, Color War and Red White and Blue) an awesome Pep Rally, and Open Houses. The wonderful week was topped off with Bronco victories in JV volleyball and Varisty football over the Maywood Tigers.
Bronco Volleyball nets big wins in Brady
W-P Varsity Volleyball brought home the third place plaque from a tournament in Brady on September 22. Big wins, gained through perseverance and hard work, in games against South Loup and Maxwell move the Lady Broncos to a 8-7 season record. Double Win At Arthur
The Lady Broncos, 4-5 on the season, will be competing at the Paxton Invite on Tuesday the 18th. Bronco Volleyball will be traveling to Hayes Center on Thursday the 20th and will be competing at the Brady tournament on Saturday the 22nd. Come cheer them on!

Bronco Football had an historic night at Arthur County last Friday, extending their season to 4-0. A 63-24 win broke a 37 game win streak for the Arthur County Wolves, as well as a 6-season undefeated streak at home. They will have a home game on Friday the 21st versus Sioux County--see you there!

Boys Defeat Hyannis
The Wauneta-Palisade boys are off to a great start. They now have a record of 3-0. The boys will be traveling to Arthur County with the volleyball girls for contests on September 14.
