Q: You are a WP alumnus--what positive changes in the school have you noticed since you've been a student here?
A: All of the interior remodeling is really nice. I like the bigger area of office space, the new hallway, the weight room, and all the awesome new technology.
Q: What activities did you do in high school?
A: All four years of high school I did volleyball and basketball. Freshman year I did One-Act and Track. In track I did hurdles, long jump, high jump, and triple jump. I was a part of the Jazz Band, Choir, NHS, and the Quiz Bowl Team.
Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up, and how did you get where you are now?
A: When I was really little, just like a normal, I wanted to be a different thing every week. When I was in high school for awhile I wanted to be a vet but I realized I could not handle it. I wanted to work with kids, so I got a Middle School Science Endorsement. I taught for awhile and then I knew I wanted to get more 1 on 1 time with kids, and within a year I started my Master's degree in counseling.
Fun Fact: One of her legs is actually about 1/8th of an inch shorter than the other!

Bronco football has high expectations
Last year's football team won a state championship and this year we'd love nothing less! Talking with Coach Geier, we found out the goals and expectations for this season. Mr. Geier informed us that the team wants to improve in practice and to improve from week to week in games. Playing the games isn't the only thing about football; practices challenge the team mentally and physically by running plays and working on fundamentals. To get the boys mentally prepared, they try to improve their mistakes from previous games and watch videos of opponents. So, the coaches' expectations for the first game of the season is to be competitive and play with tremendous desire and emotion. Good luck, Broncos!
What's the Word
What is your opinion on Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana? Is it right to go from a Disney Sensation to her not-so-good decisions?
I think it is bad for her to become who she is now. I like the old Miley better.
Emily Day
8th grade I don't agree with her decisions--she should act her age.
|
No, because her short hair makes her look like a man. She she went from being a child sensation to being a man sensation.
Bethany Long
8th grade No, because its not appropriate.
|
Hannah is better than Miley because she wasn't so crazy.
Alejandra Almanza
8th grade No, because it's not a good example to people that watch her as Hannah.
|
It's her life--she can do what she wants to.
Jasmyn Smith
Senior It's pretty cool she's being herself... but let's be honest--there's a line, and it has been crossed, man.
|
Twerking is not appropriate for people under the age of 21.
Kenna Blackman
8th grade No, I don't think it is right to be twerking on public TV.
